Vinay Mathur (Partner)
Vinay is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 33 years’ experience in leading finance functions for large global corporations such as Suntory, Heineken and PepsiCo.
He started his career in external audit at Arthur Andersen with specialization in not-for-profit organizations in frontier markets. He was audit in charge for CARE India and Bangladesh, Aide et Action’s donor projects in India and an agri research institute, ICRISAT. He was seconded to CARE Atlanta as part of their Internal Audit team for Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti.
Until recently he was CFO for Suntory in Indonesia, prior to which he was the Managing Director of Heineken Timor Leste. He was CFO for Heineken India, as also has a successful M&A record across Asia and Africa.
Ferdinan Yassin (Director)
Ferdi is a dedicated finance professional with more than 3 years experience at KPMG and more than 7 years of experience at Heineken in Timor Leste and Global Audit. He was a high performer identified as a top talent.
Ferdi started his career as an external auditor at KPMG Indonesia, with specialization in manufacturing and real estate.
At Heineken Timor-Leste, Ferdi was promoted as Head of Finance in 2020 reporting to the Country Manager. His responsibilities extended from accounting & reporting to planning i.e. annual, strategic and rolling forecast, budget monitoring and business partnering across departments.
Subsequently, Ferdi was seconded to Heineken Global as a Senior Internal Auditor. Ferdi led internal audit projects for Heineken New Zealand, Heineken Malaysia, Heineken Myanmar and Heineken Papua New Guinea.
Januario Soares (Founder)
Janu is a dedicated finance professional with a proven track record of over six years at Heineken Timor Leste. His experiences at Heineken Timor Leste provided him with a solid foundation and expertise in various facets of financial management, internal controls and reporting.
Janu graduated in accounting from University of Thai Chambers of Commerce, Bangkok. He started at Heineken Timor Leste as an Account Payable Executive and soon became a high performer. He was promoted as Process & Control Improvement Manager ensuring internal controls were effectively set-up, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were drafted, implemented and adhered; while identifying improvement opportunities. He is a certified Six Sigma Yellow belt for SOPs and process improvement.
Mariano Freitas (Manager)
Mariano is a dedicated capability building and organization development professional with a proven track record at Heineken Timor Leste and Leste Food and Beverages. He brings deep commercial knowledge to the team having set up a distribution and sale network across the country.
His experiences at both Heineken Timor Leste and Leste Food provided him with a solid foundation and expertise in various facets of designing Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), designing business and strategic plans, internal controls and management reporting.
Mariano is natural trainer with wide experience in coaching and training teams across functions; perhaps due to his early career as a Teacher at ESSA Baucau teaching Mathematics, Physics and Physical Education.
